GOLD CAMP CHRISTMAS

December 11 - 13, 2009
Are visions of sugar plums dancing in your head? They are in ours! Come visit Cripple Creek and Victor, as we celebrate our 2009 Sugar Plum Christmas with festivities that are sure to put you in the Christmas spirit.
Stop by the Sugar Plum Gift Shop or the Cripple Creek Senior Bazaar for that perfect gift, or enjoy the decorated Christmas trees available for purchase through the Live Tree Auction. Don't miss our Christmas Parade, with appearances from Santa, Mrs. Clause, and maybe even Frosty the Snowman! And of course, no Christmas would be complete without our chestnuts roasting on an open fire, and free hot chocolate and cider to warm your hands and spirit.
For a real treat, join us for the Colorado Springs Chorale performance of "Deck the Hall," held at the Cripple Creek Baptist Church. Additional entertainment includes a holiday performance by Cresson Dance located at the Cripple Creek Parks & Recreation Center, as well as "A Cripple Creek Christmas Carol" performed by the Thin Air Theater Production Company at the Butte Opera House.
Looking for more information on the December 11th Lighted Headframe (Guided) Tour? Here's the scoop: a shuttle will be leaving the Aspen Mine Center (located in Cripple Creek) at 5:30 p.m., and will arrive in Victor for the Victor Gold Bowl, which includes a bonfire, caroling, and festive activities. The guided tour will start in Victor at 7:30 p.m. Those interested in taking this tour may either take the shuttle from Cripple Creek at 5:30 p.m., or may go directly to Victor via their own transportation. Reservations are not being accepted for these tours, so please plan on arriving early to ensure you have a seat! As always, the headframes are lighted throughout the holiday season (please see the downloadable poster for a map and details), for self-guided tours.
Lighted headframe tours, a bonfire, bell choir, living nativity, craft stations, and roller skating around the Christmas tree are just a few of the many activities available for the entire family. Check out our detailed schedule of events for a complete list of what you just can't miss, and where and when to find them!
